Peterborough Town climbed to top spot in the Northants League thanks to Saturday's six-wicket victory over Northampton Saints. Chasing 160 to win at Birchfield Road, Peterborough reached their target with more than 16 overs to spare. Defending champions Finedon Dolben moved up to second place courtesy of a nervy one-wicket success at struggling Burton Latimer. And Old Northamptonians stay firmly in contention after beating Rushton. Elsewhere, Wollaston hammered Brixworth by eight wickets, Wellingborough secured a winning draw against the Northamptonshire Academy and Stony Stratford shared the honours with Rushden. In the first division, only four points now separate the top three sides - Geddington, Isham and Horton House.
