McDonald was a big success at Grace Road in the 2010 season

Leicestershire have re-signed Australian all-rounder Andrew McDonald for the 2011 season.

McDonald's 2010 Grace Road campaign was cut short by IPL and Australia A commitments and then a shoulder injury in mid-July ended his English season.

Acting chief executive Mike Siddall told the club website: "This is great news for our members and supporters.

"Andrew was a popular member of the team and we look forward to welcoming him back to Grace Road."

McDonald scored 442 runs at 44.20, including a career-best 176 not out and took 12 wickets at 26.66 in his six County Championship matches.
