Davidson has had a tough time at Grace Road this season |
Leicestershire chairman Neil Davidson says that the club will not rush into appointing a replacement for departing head coach Tim Boon. Davidson told BBC Radio Leicester that the role will probably be advertised but the process will not start until a new chief executive is named. "The key role is to manage the changing room alongside the captain," he said. "And we are looking for someone who can carry on Tim's good work in developing our youngsters." Davidson added: "We'll do interviews for the week after next for the chief executive's role. "We have attracted a strong field for that and I anticipate an appointment late September or early October. "And I am anticipating an equally strong field for the senior coach role given that the quality of the young players make it a very attractive job. "There may well be internal candidates but we will be looking at a wide field."
