Leicestershire captain Boeta Dippenaar has said that he is relishing the responsibility of leadership and is convinced his side are making progress.

Dippenaar's side climbed off the bottom of County Championship Division Two by defeating Middlesex at the weekend.

"I've thoroughly enjoyed the captaincy and it has certainly raised my game," the former South Africa international told BBC Radio Leicester.

"We are taking small steps forward and hopefully we can build on that."
