| Wednesday, 20 November, 2002, 12:14 GMT Foxes sign new trio Leicestershire have signed three new players to add strength to their squad for next season. Former England Under-19 batsmen John Maunders and John Sadler, plus 25-year-old left-arm spinner Rupesh Amin, are all expected to be in the first-team frame at Grace Road next summer. Leicestershire have lost a string of regulars to other counties over the past two winters but believe Maunders from Middlesex, Sadler from Yorkshire and former Surrey bowler Amin will help fill the breach. General manager Kevin Hill said: "All three players have reputations of determination and quality. We are delighted to sign them, and they will all be pushing for first team places next season." Iaian Sutcliffe and former skipper Vince Wells have left the club, but England one-day all-rounder Jeremy Snape and wicket-keeper Paul Nixon are in. |
