Sutton has taken over 200 catches for Lancashire

Lancashire wicketkeeper Luke Sutton has left Lancashire after five seasons with the club.

The 33-year-old, who has averaged over 33 with the bat this season, confirmed his decision following the county's Championship defeat to Nottinghamshire.

The Bristol-born cricketer joined Lancashire in 2006 after spells with Somerset and Derbyshire.

Gareth Cross will take over the wicketkeeping role permanently following Sutton's departure.
