Lancashire coach Peter Moores has said he is sure his side will make it "third time lucky" against Essex in the Friends Provident quarter-finals.
Eagles have beaten Lightning twice with both qualifying for the last eight, though Lancashire topped Group D.
Moores told BBC Radio Manchester: "My view says it's third time lucky - I'm very confident when we play them on Saturday we'll win.
"There are little things we can tweak to make a difference for Saturday."
"We've looked at our performance and we know there are two or three areas where we can get better and we've talked about them," he added.
"I look at it as the third time we're going to play them and, because we've got a good side who are playing well this season, I think we've got the sort of players we'll need to go out and win that quarter-final.
"At Chelmsford, we were disappointed because we didn't really pitch up and we didn't bat anywhere near well enough.
"At Old Trafford, it was a good scrap and a good contest and they just came out on top."
