Malinga Bandara will stay with Kent until the end of the 2010 season. |
Kent will have only one overseas player for the Friends Provident Twenty20 for financial reasons, according to coach Paul Farbrace. He told BBC Radio Kent:"We looked at one or two players but some of them are ridiculously high prices for not very much cricket." "I won't say we wouldn't have liked the option, but we'll just get on with it." Sri Lanka leg-spinner Malinga Bandara will be the their sole overseas player for the tournament. "We didn't want to bring someone in just for the sake of it. We hope with the group of players we've got, we have enough quality to get us through," Farbrace added. Kent have reached three Twenty20 Cup finals in a row and won the competition in 2007.
