Clark has taken 94 Test wickets at an average of 23.86
Kent have signed Australian seamer Stuart Clark as their overseas player for the first half of the 2010 season.
The 34-year-old, who has played 24 Test matches, was due to join Kent last season before being recalled to the Australia squad.
"We are delighted to have finally signed Stuart," said Kent team director Paul Farbrace.
"He is an exceptional bowler and will offer a lot to the team, both on and off the field."
In December, Farbrace confirmed that Kent would be looking to sign two overseas players for 2010 - a seam bowler for the first half of the season and a spinner for the second.
"It's what we feel gives us the best chance of being successful in all competitions," said the former Sri Lanka coach.
Clark initially agreed to move to Canterbury in March 2009, but that deal was scuppered when he was called into the Australia squad for their tour of South Africa.
The New South Wales paceman, who has also had spells with Hampshire and Middlesex, made his Test debut in March 2006 and has taken 94 wickets at an average of 23.86.
"Stuart is a tremendous character and has the ability and experience that we are looking for," added Kent chairman of cricket Graham Johnson.
"He is a genuine wicket-taker and will bring a great amount to the side. He has a positive outlook and will prove a great addition."
