Clark has been out of action since December with an elbow injury |
Kent have signed Australia seam bowler Stuart Clark as their overseas player for the first part of the 2009 season. The 33-year-old is due to be at Canterbury until June, when he is then expected to be part of the Australian Ashes squad. Kent chairman of cricket Graham Johnson told the club's official website: "Stuart is a tremendous character and has a great record. "He is a genuine wicket-taker and will bring a great amount to the side." Clark, who has previously had spells with Middlesex and Hampshire, is currently recovering from an elbow injury that has kept him out of action since December. Since making his debut in 2006, Clark has taken 90 wickets in 22 Test Matches, including 26 victims in Australia's 5-0 defeat of England in the Ashes series of 2006/07.
