Ford's return to Kent is delayed

Ford recently pulled out of the running for the vacant England job

Kent coach Graham Ford's return to the county has been delayed by problems with his visa.

The club say new UK Border Agency requirements are holding up the South African's paperwork.

Kent chief executive Paul Millman said: "It is extremely frustrating for Graham not to be back for the start of our pre-season.

"We are doing all we can to expedite matters and will get him here as soon as possible."

Millman added: "He is in regular touch with Simon Willis and Phil Relf on all pre-season matters and is providing valuable advice on a daily basis."

Ford was seen as one of the favourites to take over from Peter Moores as England coach.

But he pulled out of the running after becoming frustrated by the delay in making an appointment.
