Ireland beat the Netherlands by seven wickets in their one-day international at Clontarf to maintain their 100 per cent European Championship record. The Dutch side were 142 all out off 47.1 overs with Eric Szwarczynski their top scorer with 33 runs. Kevin O'Brien took three wickets, Andre Botha and Peter Connell two apiece and Kyle McCallan one, with two run-outs. Ireland replied with 143-3 off 29 overs with Niall O'Brien top-scoring with 58 not out and Andre Botha hitting 38. Andrew White was the other not out batsman on 22. Ireland, the reigning champions, beat Norway by eight wickets in their opening fixture on Friday and then saw off Denmark by five wickets on Saturday. Italy are the next opponents for the Irish at Malahide on Tuesday, followed by a one-day international against Scotland at Clontarf on Thursday.
