Hampshire advanced to the Caribbean Twenty20 final with a four-run victory over the Windward Islands in Barbados. South Africa-born opener Johann Myburgh smashed six sixes in 88 from 58 balls to help his side post 166-4 after opting to bat at the Kensington Oval. Seamer Hamza Riazuddin took three wickets in an over and finished with 4-15 as the Windwards made 162-7. In the final Hampshire face Trinidad and Tobago who beat Jamaica by eight wickets with 13 balls remaining. In addition to Myburgh Jimmy Adams gave Hampshire a strong start, with two fours and a six in 22 from 15 balls before he departed to the first ball of the seventh over. Teenager James Vince added 36 from 32 balls with two sixes and Sean Ervine a quickfire 17 from 14 balls. In the field, former England paceman Simon Jones struck with his second ball before Riazuddin destroyed the home side with a remarkable 16th over. From the first ball he ended skipper Darren Sammy's cameo 20 from 13 balls which featured two sixes, then Andre Fletcher (44) departed next ball and Gary Mathurin (2) fell to the final delivery of the over. Meanwhile for Trinidad and Tobago, Lendl Simmons hit four sixes in 51 from 49 balls and Dwayne Bravo added an unbeaten 25 from 19 as they comfortably chased down their target of 137.
