Hampshire have signed South African-born batsman Johann Myburgh for the 2011 domestic season. The 30-year-old will be available for all forms of the game and is expected to join Hampshire for the Caribbean T20 tournament in January. Myburgh, who plays for Canterbury Wizards in New Zealand, has scored 5,180 first class runs at an average of more than 45. He was the Wizards' player of the season in 2008/9. Hampshire manager Giles White told the club website: "Johann is an exciting prospect for Hampshire and will add good depth to our squad for next season."
