Warne opted not to return to Hampshire (Getty) |
Hampshire are no nearer to finding an overseas player to feature for the rest of the season. The county had initially expected to have Shane Warne for the final part of the season, but he opted not to return to England. Manager Paul Terry told BBC Radio Solent: "The position is vacant at the moment. Were looking, but it is difficult to get hold of top players." Shane Bond and Ian Harvey have had spells at the Rose Bowl this season. Hampshire signed former South African Test star Nantie Hayward as a Kolpak player last month.
