Bransgrove plans to shed workload

Hampshire

Hampshire chairman Rod Bransgrove has hinted he will scale down his involvement with the club within the next two years.

"I don't want to work flat out for the next ten years," Bransgrove told BBC Radio Solent.

"I guess over the next year or two I'll be looking to move away from executive management, and just oversee."

Bransgrove oversaw Hampshire's move to The Rose Bowl in 2001 and the ground was rewarded with a Test match in 2011.

He added: "This has probably been the hardest job of my career.

"There comes a time when I want to be able to sit down and watch a bit of cricket without the responsibilty which goes with running The Rose Bowl."
