Hants supremo rules out ECB move
Hampshire chairman Rod Bransgrove has ruled himself out of contention to succeed David Morgan as chairman of the England and Wales Cricket Board.

The ECB are seeking nominations from county chairman after former Glamorgan chief Morgan left to become President of the International Cricket Council.

Bransgrove, key to the construction of the Rose Bowl and its international status, wants to remain with Hants.

The closing date for nominations to replace Morgan at the ECB is 23 July.

If there is just one nomination then ECB will ask for the 18 first-class counties, the MCC, the Minor Counties Cricket Association and the non first-class county boards to endorse the candidate - a process that would end on 13 August.

An election, conducted by the Electoral Reform Society, will proceed if there is more than one nomination, with the ballot closing on August 13 and the endorsement process closing on August 28.
