Gemaal Hussain has played second XI cricket for five different counties |
Gloucestershire new boy Gemaal Hussain has set his sights on developing into an all-rounder after being given his chance by coach John Bracewell. Paceman Hussain picked up 2-17 on his debut in the Twenty20 Cup defeat to Worcestershire on Monday. The 25-year-old told BBC Radio Bristol: "John Bracewell wants to improve me as a complete player. "He wants me to become a top-class fast bowler and improve my batting. I'm happy for the opportunity." He added: "I'm a bowler who bats, but I would like to develop into a genuine all-rounder." Hussain's debut for Gloucestershire came just a week after signing a two-year deal at Nevil Road. He has played club cricket in the Bradford and Birmingham Leagues. He has also played in the Second XI Championship for Sussex, Essex, Nottinghamshire, Surrey and, most recently, Worcestershire.
