Satala has started just one Premiership game this season

Sale Sharks have signed back row forward Apolosi Satala from Gloucester on a one-year deal.

The 31-year-old has six caps for Fiji and is in the British Army.

Sale director of rugby Kingsley Jones said: "He is a quality player, who can play any position in the back row and has also played centre and wing.

"He is a very physical player, a strong defender with great ball skills and has the ability to carry the ball across the gain line."
