Former Gloucestershire captain Chris Taylor has been invited to join England as a coach for the winter. The 32-year-old batsman combined playing with the role of fielding coach at his county club last season. "I was approached by the England and Wales Cricket Board to do some coaching during the winter," Taylor told BBC Radio Gloucestershire. "I'm working on the England Performance Programme until Christmas, which includes a trip for a month to India." Taylor will sharpen the fielding skills of some well known names, including players on the fringe of the Test side and others who are are seen as internationals of the future. "It's a good mix, people like Rob Key, Sajid Mahmood, Liam Plunkett and younger players such as Eoin Morgan and Dawid Malan at Middlesex," Taylor added. "Fielding is an area I'm really passionate about I really love the coaching."
