Franklin beamers earn ECB penalty
James Franklin
Franklin sent down two beamers in a single over
Glamorgan bowler James Franklin has been punished for bowling indiscretions in Monday's Twenty20 loss to Gloucestershire at Sophia Gardens.

Umpires George Sharp and Rob Bailey reported the Kiwi paceman for two accidental high, full-pitched balls.

The beamers meant Franklin was barred from further bowling in the innings.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has given Franklin three penalty points. If nine are gained in two years an automatic suspension results.
