Matt Walker is in his first season at Essex |
Essex batsman Matt Walker is confident his side can complete a hat-trick of victories over Lancashire in the Friends Provident Trophy quarter-final. The holders beat Lancashire twice in the group stages. Walker told BBC Essex: "I've had a bit of success over the years against them, they're certainly one of the teams I like playing against. "You get to the stage where you have scored runs against the bowlers and it gives you confidence." Walker followed up a score of 34, with an unbeaten 35, in the victory at Old Trafford on Wednesday. Ahead of Saturday's re-match he added: "Having beaten them twice, we should be going into the game confident." "It's a good ground, a good wicket and it suits the way we play, I don't see why we should have any fears." BBC Essex will have ball-by-ball commentary of Lancashire v Essex on Saturday 23 May on 729 MW and 1530 MW, and on bbc.co.uk/cricket
