Arber is the first Daggers player to sign a new deal this summer

Dagenham and Redbridge defender Mark Arber has signed a new two-year contract, taking him to May 2011.

The club captain joined the Daggers last summer after two successful loan spells at Victoria Road.

Arber began his career with Tottenham where he made one first team appearance before joining Barnet and then spent five years at Peterborough.

The 31-year-old is the first member of John Still's squad to sign a new deal with the League Two club.
