Cook's side have won one and lost one of their two Pro40 matches |
Durham head coach Geoff Cook believes the experience of floodlit Pro40 matches could be a boost for the junior members of the squad. Thursday's home day-nighter with Worcestershire is to be played under the lights and Cook believes they help generate a special atmosphere. "The lights become part of the occasion," he told BBC Newcastle. "It's a good occasion for the players, especially the younger players - it's part of the development of the team." Durham have played two matches in the Pro40 competition so far, losing to Yorkshire at Scarborough, but beating Gloucestershire at Cheltenham on the road.
