Work has begun on a new 1,800-seater stand which will almost double the capacity at Derbyshire's County Ground.

The stand will give fans an elevated view at the Racecourse end and boost capacity to 4,000.

Matches are currently played in a north/south direction after the square was turned.

Two floodlight pylons have been relocated to accommodate the change and a new water irrigation system has also been installed at the ground.
