Sheridan's side narrowly missed out on the play-offs this season
Chesterfield boss John Sheridan has begun to shape his side for next season by offering new deals to three out-of-contract players.
Sheridan wants midfielder Wade Small and defenders Jamie Lowry and Gregor Robertson to stay with the Spireites.
Midfielder Dan Gray and strikers Scott Boden and Jordan Bowery have already signed new two-year contracts.
Sheridan has also released 12 out-of-contract players and is now planning to bolster his squad.
Players who will be leaving the Chesterfield are: Kevin Austin, Danny Boshell, Barry Conlon, Alan Goodall, Danny Hall, Paul Harsley, Lloyd Kerry, Terell Lewis, Matt Malak, Phil Picken, Adam Rundle and Simon Whaley.
Chesterfield narrowly missed out on the play-offs this season finishing two points off seventh place.
