Player-coach Chris Brown has said Norfolk are closing in on a performance that will see them win their first Minor Counties match of the season. Their stalemate with Buckinghamshire was their fourth draw of the campaign. Brown, 35, told BBC Radio Norfolk there are some positive signs: "I think we've got better as each game's gone on. "We're hoping Carl Rogers will be fit for the next game, but Luke Caswell has taken to his cricket well. So it all bodes well for the future." Batsman Rogers, 39, has missed the first two games of the Norfolk Festival because of an injury, but could have done little to earn his side a victory against Buckinghamshire as the elements put paid to the final day. | The ball was turning a lot there but the rain curtailed it, so we look forward to next week Norfolk player-coach Chris Brown |
"The rain obviously took some overs out of the game," Brown added. "Had we had those 17 or 18 overs, it may have been quite an interesting game.
