Surrey swapped places with fellow strugglers Derbyshire at the bottom of Division Two after finally earning a 42-run win at Chesterfield.

Starting the day on 136-1, chasing 407 for victory, Derbyshire at one stage looked on course to set what would have been a new county record winning score.

But, despite a second century in the match for Wayne Madsen (105) and Garry Park's 54, they ran out of steam.

And Surrey paceman Chris Tremlett finished the job off, taking 4-94.
