Worcestershire and Warwickshire lost the second day of their Championship match at New Road after persistent overnight rain. The showers did clear for a while around lunchtime and umpires George Sharp and Neil Bainton had hoped for a re-start in the afternoon. A further downpour after lunch left the ground too wet, and they were forced to abandon play for the day at 1420 BST. On Friday, Worcestershire closed on 2-0 after Warwickshire were 309 all out.
