Anthony Ireland has played in 26 one-day internationals for Zimbabwe

Zimbabwean seamer Anthony Ireland took six wickets to give Gloucestershire the upper hand against Leicestershire on a day when 14 wickets fell at Nevil Road.

Ireland finished with 6-31 as the visitors were shot out for 133 in 65 overs after losing the toss.

Only opener Tom New (54) provided any resistance, one of just four Leicester batsmen to reach double figures.

However the home side are struggling in reply, reaching 75-4 at the close, with captain Alex Gidman unbeaten on 34.
