COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION TWO, The Swalec Stadium Day three (stumps): Glamorgan 248 & 221-4 v Warwickshire 421
Warwickshire's James Anyon took a career-best 6-82 as Glamorgan were forced to follow on at Cardiff. Starting day three on 183-5, hosts Glamorgan were dismissed for 248 as seamer Anyon added another three wickets to his tally from Saturday. But the home side made a better start to their second innings thanks to a 107-run, fourth-wicket stand between David Hemp (56) and Jamie Dalrymple. Glamorgan were 221-4 at stumps, just 48 ahead, with Dalrymple on 52 not out. The hosts had needed a further 89 runs to avoid the follow-on, but were bowled out 21 minutes before lunch, losing their last five first-innings wickets in the space of 23 overs. It meant the hosts were forced to follow on for the third consecutive match after innings defeats to Northamptonshire and Leicestershire. Chris Woakes weighed in with two wickets, while Neil Carter and Jonathan Trott collected a wicket each. Glamorgan's second innings began badly as they were reduced to 99-3, before Hemp and Dalrymple steadied the innings for the fourth wicket. Hemp - who had been dropped on 29 by Ant Botha in the gully off Anyon - eventually fell when he was caught behind off Trott's first over of the innings.
