County Championship, Division Two, Grace Road (day four): Leicestershire 170 & 360-5 bt Somerset 192 & 148 by 190 runs
Points: Leicestershire 17, Somerset 3Leicestershire condemned Somerset to their ninth Championship defeat of the season with a crushing 190-run triumph.
Darren Maddy (86) and Claude Henderson (62) hit quick runs on the last morning before the Foxes declared on 360-5, to leave Somerset 339 to win off 83 overs.
That never looked likely after David Masters took three early wickets as the Cidermen slumped to 97-6 at Grace Road.
Ryan Cummins and Henderson also claimed three wickets each as Somerset were bundled out for 148 in the afternoon.
The win was clinched in the third over after tea when Henderson bowled Charl Willoughby for a duck with a quicker delivery.
To add to the Cidermen's woes they looked certain to be docked half a point because of a slow over rate.
But their poor effort with the bat on Monday could partly be attributed to a worn pitch with plenty of uneven bounce.
