White's eyes on India
Craig White
White took four wickets then starred with the bat
Craig White hopes he can take his match-winning form for Yorkshire into the Test arena, when England take on India at Trent Bridge on Thursday.

White hit 100 not out and took four for 35 in an emphatic C&G Trophy semi-final victory over Surrey on the day that he was again named in England's 13-man squad.

But White knows that he is again likely to be battling Dominic Cork for a spot in the final XI.

"It's nice to get runs and wickets before a Test," he told BBC Radio Five Live.

"I'm in a decent run of form, and hopefully I can carry that into the Test, if selected."

Yorkshire successfully chased a revised total of 167 with 18 overs to spare despite gloomy conditions.

It's going to be a great day at Lord's
Craig White
Bad weather caused three breaks during Surrey's innings having already forced a four-day postponement of the match

But White said that it played no part his decision, with opening partner Matthew Wood, to take an aggressive approach.

"It's out of your control so you just go out and try not to worry," he said.

"We tried to be positive in the first 13 overs when the fielding restrictions were and do what we've done all year."

Although he was an automatic choice as man of the match, White paid tribute to his side for restricting Surrey to 173 for eight, and to his batting partner.

"Woody batted brilliantly and it was a great team performance," he said.

Surrey captain Adam Hollioake also praised White:

"Craig White played a brilliant hand today. he bowled well and got four wickets," he said.

"He then came out and played positvely on what was not an easy wicket which was an outstanding effort.

"He fully deserved to win the man-of-the-match award.

"This last week has been a bad week for Surrey County Cricket Club."
