Mortaza bowled just four overs in England's second innings |
Leading Bangladesh bowler Mashrafe Mortaza will miss the rest of England's tour with a knee injury. Mortaza, who took a career-best 4-60 in the first innings, was carried off the field seven overs into England's second innings after falling awkwardly.
A plaster cast was put on in hospital, with the bowler ruled out of action for at least three weeks.
As well as the rest of the Test match, the 20-year-old will miss the three-match one-day series.
But he is expected to be fit before Bangladesh's next international appointment, a tour of Zimbabwe in January. The injury is believed to be a recurrence of the problem that kept him out of Bangladesh' World Cup squad earlier this year.
The limited-overs portion of England's visit begins in Chittagong on 7 November.
