Tour match, Dhaka, day two (stumps). BCB President's XI v EnglandMatthew Hoggard made a successful return to England colours by taking three quick wickets against a Bangladeshi side made up of under-19 players.
After England had collapsed badly from 181-1 to 253 all out, their bowlers responded to leave their inexperienced opposition 46-6.
Martin Saggers took two wickets and Steve Harmison one.
Earlier, Marcus Trescothick hit 90 but it was his wicket that heralded an alarming middle order slump.
At one point, the tourists lost four wickets for no runs, with Graham Thorpe and Surrey team-mate Rikki Clarke failing to score.
Chris Read then hit a confidence-boosting 43 in a seventh-wicket stand of 55 with Gareth Batty (16).
But a second collapse, from 236-6 to 253 all out, saw the England innings ended in its 101st over.
Early in the day, Trescothick overcame a damp outfield by taking the aerial route, collecting four sixes in all.
He lost overnight partner Mark Butcher when the latter tried to clip seamer Anwar Monir through square leg but was caught by Moniruzzaman for 21.
Trescothick finally fell when he pushed forward to the first ball of the afternoon session from spinner Enamul Haque jnr and was picked up at silly mid-on.
Thorpe followed four balls later when he attempted to sweep and only succeeded in top edging a catch.
Worse was to come as Nasser Hussain fell lbw to seamer Gazi Alamgir, having struggled to make 17.
And Clarke followed in unlucky fashion when a forcing stroke to a ball from Enamul struck the short leg fielder and looped up for Aftab Ahmed to take the catch.

Worcestershire spinner Batty was dropped once before being bowled by left-arm spinner Nadif Chowdrey attempting to hit a slog-sweep for 17.
Read fell five overs after tea when he was given leg before to Monir and Harmison and Hoggard were both out for ducks.
Hoggard did better with the ball in his first match for England since May due to injury.
He struck in his third over to remove openers Hannan Sarkar and Nafees Iqbal to slip catches and then returned to dismiss Ashifqur Rahman.
