Shrewsbury climb to fourth in the Birmingham League

Shrewsbury moved up to fourth in the Birmingham League with a six-wicket victory at West Bromwich Dartmouth.

Dartmouth were limited to 152-9 by Joe Leach's 5-41 before fifth-wicket stand of 131 between Rob Foster (87no) and Tom Cox (50no) saw Shrewsbury home.

Wellington knocked Knowle and Dorridge off the top of the table with a hard-earned draw.

Knowle & Dorridge reached 289-4, but Bilal Shafayat (58) and 40 each from Wendell Wagner and Matt Tilt took Wellington to 249-8.

In a high-scoring First Division game at Evesham, Shifnal racked up 277-8 with Tom Horne (91) and Stuart Blount (83) in good form, but the home side held on for a draw at 227-7.

In Division Two, Bridgnorth racked up an impressive 306-6 before bowling Aston Manor out for 246 to win by 62 runs.

Whitchurch moved up to third with a five-wicket success against Fordhouses, while in the Third Division, Oswestry took 17 points from their draw at Coleshill, but St George's were bowled out for 72 in pursuit of Lichfield's 102.

Bomere Heath 154, Albrighton 157-8. Albrighton won by six wickets.

Newport 88, Ludlow 89-4. Ludlow won by six wickets.

Madeley 144-7, Newtown 148-7. Newtown won by three wickets.

Quatt 204-7, Much Wenlock 107. Quatt won by 97 runs.

Broseley 146, Wem 149-1. Wem won by nine wickets.

Worfield 222-8, Reman Services 223-6. Reman won by four wickets.

Shelton 153-8, Allscott 120. Shelton won by 33 runs.
