Oram played first-class cricket for Notts in 1997 and 1998 |
Horton House captain Andy Oram has targeted a top-six finish as his club returns to the Northamptonshire League's top flight. Horton are back in the Premier Division this season after being relegated at the end of 2007. "Our number one aim will be consolidating - hopefully a finish in the top six," the former Notts seamer told BBC Radio Northampton. Horton open their campaign at home to Northamptonshire Academy on Saturday. Oram added: "We have a huge junior set-up at our club, and another of my aims this year will be to integrate some of those youngsters into the first-team." Finedon Dolben are looking to claim the title for the tenth time in 13 seasons and lead off against Burton Latimer at Avenue Road. Peterborough Town - who missed out last year by virtue of winning one match fewer than Finedon after finishing with the same points tally - entertain Rushden on the opening day. Elsewhere, Northampton Saints play host to Brixworth, Old Northamptonians tackle Rushton and Wollaston travel to Stony Stratford.
