Castletown celebrate winning the Twenty20 Cain Cup |
Castletown beat St Johns by 29 runs on Saturday to add the Standard Bank Twenty20 Cain Cup to their Isle of Man Premiership title. Batting first, Castletown racked up 133-6 from their 20 overs before a tight bowling display restricted St Johns to 104-9. Castletown captain Oliver Steriopulos said: "Two trophies in a week, we must be doing something right." Town wicketkeeper Wicus Wessels was named man-of-the-match. Wessels had a final to remember, top-scoring with 57 before making four stumpings. Steriopulos added: "All our hard work is really paying off and we still want to win the League Cup to make it three."
