Title still in Bekrshire's hands - Bjorn Mordt

Berkshire captain Bjorn Mordt believes the title is still in his side's hands despite the recent defeat by Cheshire.

With two matches left, Berkshire are second in the Minor Counties Western Division, four points behind league leaders Dorset.

Mordt told BBC Berkshire: "If we have six days of good cricket in our next two games, we'll be champions.

"It's all still in our hands, it's up to us now to win these last two games and I think we can do that."

The Zimbabwean feels his side's attacking instincts gives them a great opportunity to replicate their 2008 title-winning triumph.

We're probably back to our strongest outfit

"I'm a big believer in playing brave cricket," he said.

"I'm not a captain that's going to sit on the side and hope for a draw.

"As a team, we're out there to play positive cricket, we want to be aggressive and if we do that, generally results will go our way."

Berkshire next face a trip to Shropshire and Mordt says they have made a couple of changes to the team that lost to Cheshire.

"We've brought in Chris Peploe who will strengthen us as he's a quality spinner.

"Craig Crowe has also come back in, an extra batter who will balance our team, so now we're probably back to our strongest outfit," he added.
