Atri has previously played first-class cricket for Nottinghamshire

Batsman Vikram Atri was the star performer for Lincolnshire on the opening day of their minor counties match against Staffordshire.

Atri top scored with 89 and Dan Birch hit a half century as Lincolnshire made 317 in their first innings.

In reply, Staffordshire had reached 75-2 at close of play in their first innings at Longton.

Lincolnshire have won one of their three matches so far in the minor counties Championship Eastern Division.
