Guernsey remain undefeated after four matches in the ICC European Division Two Championship, beating France by six wickets at Port Soif on Saturday.

France chose to bat and were 119-1 at one stage, but three wickets each for spinners Jeremy Frith and Gary Rich saw them tumble to 189 all out.

Blane Queripel scored 57 and Frith added 46 with the bat, as the hosts reached their target in 48.5 overs.

With one match to go, only Germany can deny Guernsey a first tournament title.

Guernsey captain Stuart Le Prevost, who has yet to lose his wicket during the tournament, was thankful to his spin bowlers for keeping France in check.

"If they get after the ball and go over the top you can end up chasing a few early on, but we dragged it back well with the spinners and that was pleasing," Le Prevost said.
