Mordt led Berkshire to the Minor Counties Championship title in 2008
Berkshire notched up their second win of the Minor Counties Championship season, beating Wales by 4 wickets.
Chasing 126 to win, Berkshire lost six wickets on a turning wicket at Falkland Cricket Club.
But Steve Naylor (21no) and Kyle Hodnett (18no) saw Berkshire home with more than half a day remaining.
Captain Bjorn Mordt told BBC Berkshire: "At the beginning of the season we'd have earmarked two of the first three games as wins and we've done that."
Mordt and Jono McLean both scored hundreds in Berkshire's first innings, as they replied to Wales' 192 with 354-9.
Wales were dismissed for 287 in their second innings, leaving Berkshire needing 126 to wrap up the win.
Mordt admitted they did not find easy chasing the modest total to win.
"We were batting second and the wicket had been scuffed up," he said. "They had two good spinners so it was really hard work out there this morning.
"Sometimes you prefer chasing 220 than 120 - it's a different mindset for the batsmen".
Despite the near-perfect start to the Championship campaign, Mordt warned that they face some difficult challenges ahead.
"Cheshire are no mugs, Shropshire are a good team and Cornwall are always difficult to beat, especially in Cornwall, so if we win two out of those three then we have the division covered, but we'll just take it session by session.
"We go into our next game with Cheshire with all our players having done quite well and everyone's got a good frame of mind and that's always a positive and good thing to have."
