Leaders Bracebridge aim to bounce back after defeat

Cricket

Lincolnshire Premier League leaders Bracebridge Heath lost for the second week running as they crashed to a seven-wicket defeat by Bourne.

After dismissing Bracebridge for 134, Bourne skipper Pete Morgan made 51 not out against his former side as the home side eased to a comfortable win.

Second-placed Grimsby missed the chance to go top, losing to Skegness.

Grimsby made 213-8 in their 50 overs, but Roald Badenhorst's 71 not out saw Skegness win by two wickets.

Nettleham moved level with Skegness in third with an eight-wicket win at Boston.

Despite Jonathan Cheer's 77 the hosts were all out for 124, with their last seven wickets falling for only 14 runs, before an unbeaten 58 from Warren Nel saw Nettleham home with 23 overs to spare.

The defeat leaves Boston bottom of the table after victories for Hartsholme and Woodhall Spa.

Woodhall skipper Jack Luffman made 115 not out as they beat Lindum by four wickets, while Ben Davis and Matthew Wooldridge made unbeaten half-centuries to steer Hartsholme to their first Premier League win, beating Louth by eight wickets.

Market Deeping's Tom Andrews claimed the weekend's only five-wicket haul, taking 5-39 as they beat Sleaford by five wickets.
