Stoke-on-Trent teenager Danielle Wyatt has admitted she was shocked to be named in the full England squad for the tour of India in February.

England will play five one-day international and three Twenty20 matches on the tour.

The uncapped 18-year-old told BBC Radio Stoke: "I was speechless when I found out. It was such a good feeling, I was jumping up and down in the street.

"The first thing I did was phone my dad, and he was speechless too."

Off-spinner Wyatt, who has just returned from a spell playing in Australia, believes she will play her part.

"There's three spinners in the squad, including me, and India's known to have good spinning tracks so hopefully I'll be playing in at least two games," she said.

"I just have to take the chance when I get it. It will be such a great experience to be playing with a team of world champions."

The squad are due to arrive in Bangalore on 15 February, with the first ODI four days later.
