Naeem Islam hit an unbeaten 73 as Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by one wicket to seal a 4-1 one-day series victory.

Bangladesh reached their target of 222 with one over to spare, Naeem the only home batsman to pass 50 in Chittagong.

An unbeaten 118 from Brendan Taylor, his first one-day century featuring four sixes and seven fours, was the highlight of the Zimbabwe innings.

The tourists looked set for victory when Bangladesh slumped to 187-9, but a last-wicket stand of 35 saw them home.

Naeem contributed all but one of the runs as he completed his maiden one-day international half-century, the right-hander hitting medium-pacer Justice Chibhabha for three sixes off consecutive deliveries in the 48th over.

Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah and Abdur Razzak earlier all claimed three wickets as Zimbabwe were bowled out for 221.

The tourists now travel to South Africa for two one-day internationals.
