Roberts helped Finedon to a crucial win over relegation-threatened Brixworth

Tim Roberts hit a spectacular century to keep Finedon Dolben on top of the Hevey Northamptonshire League's Premier Division with three weeks to go.

The former Northants batsman smashed a six and 17 fours in his unbeaten 100 from 68 balls as the leaders beat Brixworth by five wickets.

Finedon have a 36-point advantage over Northampton Saints, who claimed a six-wicket victory over Wollaston.

There were also wins for Rushden and Peterborough, now third and fourth.
