Finedon Dolben moved 39 points clear at the top of the Northants League following Saturday's 106-run victory over struggling Desborough. Spinners Tom Brett and Andy Roberts shared nine wickets as Desborough, chasing 292, were dismissed for 185. Finedon's nearest rivals, Northampton Saints, had to settle for a draw against Old Northamptonians. But there were victories for Rushden Town and Peterborough Town, in third and fourth places respectively. Burton Latimer and Stony Stratford also claimed Premier Division wins, while the Division One title race remains close with just nine points separating promotion contenders Wellingborough Town and Geddington.
