Northamptonshire have released batsman Tim Roberts after three seasons at the County Ground. Roberts has been unabled to cement a regular first team place, making only two County Championship appearances this season.
The 27-year-old's final first team appearance was in August against the touring Australians.
In that game he sustained a nasty head injury after being struck by a short-pitched delivery from Shaun Tait.
