Vauxhall Mallards have extended their lead at the top of the East Anglian Premier League after an eight wicket win over Halstead. Mallards bowled the home side out for 53 with Paul Bradshaw taking six wickets for the loss of just nine runs. Opening batsmen Carl Amos top-scored with 29 runs as Mallards reached their target in the 14th over. Second placed Swardeston's match at Cambridge Granta was cancelled because of heavy rain. Horsford leapfrogged Great Witchingham as the two sides met a Walcis Park, with the visitors enjoying a two-wicket win in the day's Norfolk derby. Luke Caswell and Ryan Findlay took four wickets each as Horsford bowled the home side out for 96. Great Witchingham's bowlers made for an exciting finish as Horsford made 97-8 in the 53rd over. Norwich earned a creditable draw against Bury St Edmunds at Ingham after the Suffolk side declared at 308-4. Norwich then toiled their way to 274-8 at close of play for a share of the points.
