Pershore's patience in the Worcestershire County League paid off as they beat bottom side Coombs Wood by nine wickets to go nine points clear. Former leaders Barnards Green lost for the second week running, this time to erratic Worcester by 19 runs. Continuing their recent form, Redditch comfortably beat Nomads. They hit the day's top score in Division One thanks to Adam Gailey's 117, and 5-44 from Aussie star spinner Danny Friedrich. Elsewhere, with 84 and 4-67, Mike King's all round efforts saw Colwall get the upper hand in a draw at Astwood Bank. And Bromyard achieved a winning draw in a rain-affected match at Stourbridge where Alex Bingham was top scorer for Stourbridge with 95. Malvern climbed out of the relegation positions thanks to a tense one-wicket win over Oldswinford. In Division Two, Romsley thrashed Hagley but Droitwich did not enjoy the journey back from Monmouth where they lost their first match of the season by 23 runs and now see their lead at the top over Romsley down to just two points. Third-placed Bewdley almost need binoculars to see the top two, trailing now by over 50 points after a thrilling losing draw at Pedmore. They ended one run behind with just one wicket intact after Worcester City goalkeeper Danny McDonnell scored an undefeated 99 for the hosts. In the other fixtures, Avoncroft beat Netherton and now trail them by just a point at the foot of the table. Alvechurch beat Feckenham and the other match at Harborne failed to restart after the tea interval due to a storm. Division Three has new leaders yet again after Wormelow accounted for Dominies with Shaun Waldron made 99 not out. Rushwick leapfrogged Dominies to go second after thrashing Amblecote by more than 200 runs and Chaddesley are now up to fourth easing past Cookley. Burghill, also recent leaders, slipped to fifth after defeat at Stourport, while Kidderminster climbed to 6th beating Birlingham by 3 wkts. In Division Four South, Canon Frome still lead after thrashing fellow Herefordians, and Himbleton have claimed second place with a high scoring a winning draw over Martley. Cutnall Green crashed at home to Old Vigornians and Barnards Green recorded a 10 wickets success over Tenbury with Andy Wheeler making 98 not out. Old Elizabethans closed the gap at the bottom on their rivals by gaining winning draw at Hanley Castle. In Division Four North, Hewell have now moved ahead of Enville by beating Belbroughton by 150 runs. Enville were held to a draw by Claverley but still hold a 42-point advantage over third-placed Halesowen who were also held in a high-scoring affair at Bromsgrove. Skipper Ian Walker recorded a century and took four wickets, and his teammate Paul Thomas also made a ton. In the other matches, Stourbridge Social beat Alveley and Himley eclipsed Barnt Green.
